Operator, contact, and purpose
SirDeal is the operator and controller for the personal data described on this page. Email privacy@sirdeal.com with a privacy question or request.
SirDeal relies on its legitimate interests in operating a secure, fraud-resistant public beta and producing aggregate preference rankings. Processing is limited through pseudonymous identifiers, data minimization, and the retention periods described below. You may object to this processing by using the privacy contact.
What a matchup contains
When SirDeal shows a matchup, it creates a short-lived presentation record containing the one-way browser-identifier hash, the product pair, the displayed price-snapshot identifiers, and issuance and expiry times. The presentation expires after 20 minutes. If it is not used, it is deleted on later matchmaking or ranking-maintenance activity.
What a vote contains
A counted vote can include the selected product, the two products shown, their recorded prices, the matchup, a timestamp, and the same one-way identifier hash. This context prevents duplicate choices at the same displayed prices and supports aggregate rankings.
Local browser storage
SirDeal stores sirdeal:voter-id, a random UUID used to recognize repeat anonymous voting, plus a short list of matchup identifiers already seen in the current browser. Clearing site data removes these values. If storage is blocked, voting can still work for the current page session but cannot preserve that continuity.
What is not added to vote records
SirDeal does not add your email address, account identity, raw IP address, or a browser fingerprint to the vote database. We do not create advertising profiles from your choices.
Hosting and operational processing
SirDeal is hosted using infrastructure providers such as Vercel and a managed database provider. Those providers may process request metadata, including IP addresses and logs, for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security under their own terms. This operational processing is distinct from the SirDeal vote record described above.
Official source links
Current outbound links open official manufacturer reference pages, which process visits under their own privacy policies. No affiliate links are active in this beta. If affiliate links are introduced later, the relevant retailer or network may also process the visit under its own terms. SirDeal does not receive your payment details.
Retention
Once counted votes and the presentation context needed to interpret them are older than 180 days, they are deleted during the next ranking-maintenance run. Unused presentations follow the shorter expiry described above. Local browser values remain until you clear site data. Operational logs follow provider retention settings.
Your choices and requests
Where applicable, you may ask to access, erase, restrict, or object to processing by emailing privacy@sirdeal.com. Keep the local voter UUID if you want SirDeal to locate its one-way hash; SirDeal cannot reverse that hash after the browser value is cleared. Do not send sensitive personal information through official source links.
